Become a Volunteer at Naples Botanical Garden
Volunteers play a key role in the daily life of Naples Botanical Garden. They bring an eagerness to learn and an unselfish ability to share their time and talents with us. Volunteers are often the best advocates in the community and we commend them for their commitment to serve in all aspects of the organization.One half day per week volunteer opportunities include:
- Docent - interact with visitors in the Garden by sharing information and/or giving tours
- Natural Areas - exotic plant removal, planting, hauling materials,
- Cultivated Gardens - weeding, raking, potting, trimming
- Membership Sales - share the benefits of membership with visitors and at special events
- Retail Assistants- wrap merchandise and assist visitors in our Garden Shop
- After School Elementary Program- Tuesdays- Jan. through April work with our Global Garden students in the schools
- Handyman - Help our staff with carpentry, painting, assembly and fix-it projects
Other on call and as needed opportunities include:
- Grow Cart presentations in Schools
- Plant Pack liaison with Schools
- Tour Guide - Adults
- Tour Guide - School Children
- Event Assistant
- Data Entry - Mailings
Orientations for new volunteers are scheduled throughout the year.
