Class Information

Did you know tomatoes grow better in winter than in summer in Southwest Florida? Jonathan Thomforde, former farm manager of Lady Moon Farms and current staff with the Fair Foods Standards Council, will teach you everything you need to know about tomato gardening in our area, including the tomato life cycle and production schedule, seed and location selection, soil improvement, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, harvesting and storage. Each participant will receive a tomato plant to take home. Class size in limited to 25. Please see Education>Adult Programs for more details.
