Class Title: Basics of Nature Photography: Post-processing for Beautiful Images

Class Description: This four-class course will help you process your images beautifully! Have a version of Photoshop or Elements loaded on your computer and be familiar with its basic use. We will briefly review composition principles and take photos in the garden before processing them. It is recommended but not required that you take all 4 classes to get the most from this course. It is also recommended but not required that you take the previous class taught in March entitled “Basics of Nature Photography: Focus on Composition”. Bring camera & laptop and be able to transfer images from camera to laptop.
Dates: Tuesdays, April 1, 8, 15, 22, 2014. Participants are encouraged to attend all four classes.
Cost: $30 Garden Members/ $35 Non-members per class
Materials List: Laptop computer with Photoshop or Elements software

Instructor Bio: Dr. Christine Cook is a photographer, Florida Master Naturalist, and educator. Her images have been garnering local to international attention with an online photo display and permanent collections displayed at Literacy Volunteers of Collier County and Cafe Luna East. Her personal vision is driven by an interest in capturing emotion and mood within various settings such as landscapes, close-ups, and street scenes. She also enjoys being artistically creative with photographic and post-processing techniques. As a Florida Master Naturalist, her knowledge of the natural environment enhances the photographic experience and the results.
