Class Title: Design on a Dime

Instructor: Mary Raymond

Class Description: Join this floral design class if you yearn to make beautiful arrangements without spending a fortune on flowers! Mary Raymond, floral artist for Garden Club of America and the National Garden Club, will introduce you to the elements and principles of floral design and help you put this knowledge into practice. Please bring three of your own containers (even a salad bowl will do!), cuttings from home, a pair of clippers, a towel, and small trash bag. Some flowers and other floral design materials will be provided.

Date: Wednesday, January 15

Time: 2:00-4:00pm

Location: Kapnick Center; White Classroom (124)

Class Size: 15 participants

Cost: $30 Garden Members/ $35 Non-members (includes supplied materials)

Materials List: 3 containers; plant cuttings from home; pair of clippers; towel; small trash bag

Registration Deadline: Wednesday, January 8th, 5:00pm

Instructor Bio: Mary Raymond is a Minnesota native with extensive experience with floral design. Mary is a Floral Artist for Garden Club of America (GCA) and the National Garden Club. She is a member of Lake Minnetonka Garden Club, Naples Ikebana, and Naples Garden Club, where she is Floral Design Coordinator for their Home and Garden Tour. Mary's designs have won numerous awards from GCA, Naples Garden Club, and the World Association of Flower Arrangers, including the Munger and Dorothea Wallace Medal and People's Choice Award (2013). In addition, Mary is an exhibitor at the Ringling Museum of Art and a Naples Botanical Garden volunteer.
