Class Title: Edibles & Recipes: Eating with Herbs

Class Description: Delicious herbs can awaken the mind and invigorate the tongue! Join us for the first Lifelong Learning Edibles & Recipes class offered by Laurie Allmenger, Chef at Antonio’s of Naples. Chef Laurie will share her Italian-inspired dishes, sure to be generously sprinkled with oregano, sage, and other heavenly herbs. Participants will observe Chef Laurie’s demonstrations, sample her tasty creations, and take home recipes to re-create these savory foods with family! Chef Laurie’s planned menu includes an appetizer, soup, salad, and dessert.

Instructor Bio: Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Chef Laurie Allmenger’s love of food was instilled by her Sicilian grandmother. Today, Chef Laurie is passionate about cooking traditional Italian dishes, often with her secret sauce composed of 25 organic herbs! Laurie attended the International Culinary Institute of Arts and Sciences founded by Lorretta Paganinni, who was one of Laurie’s inspirations. She is an active chef in town, cooking at Antonio’s of Naples, catering private dinner parties, offering cooking classes, and selling her tasty creations at local farmers’ markets.
