Class Description: Have you heard of green roofs? Did you know Naples Botanical Garden is experimenting with green roof plants appropriate for southwest Florida? Learn from our Natural Areas Manager, Eric Foht, about green roof basics, benefits, and plant selection for our area. Anyone with a roof over their head is likely to be intrigued by this emerging green technology!

Instructor Bio: Eric is the Natural Areas Manager at Naples Botanical Garden. His love of native plants, south Florida, art, permaculture, and playing in the ocean has helped shape his outlook on life. He recently attended a workshop in New York City, put on by the organization Green Roofs for Healthy Cities, and has been actively searching this area for plants that can live on roofs.
