Class Title: Native Landscaping for Southwest Florida

Instructor: Chad Washburn

Class Description: Transform your home landscape into a native paradise! This lecture, led by Naples Botanical Garden’s Director of Conservation and Education, Chad Washburn, will cover all aspects of landscaping with native plants, including creating a landscape plan, selecting plants, attracting wildlife, and fertilizing, watering, and trimming requirements. Chad will recommend native areas in the Garden to view many of these plants used in the landscape.

Instructor Bio: Chad Washburn is the Director of Conservation and Education at the Naples Botanical Garden and past president of the Naples Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Biology from Hanover College in Indiana, and a Masters Degree in Applied Ecology from Indiana University. He is dedicated to transforming Florida’s urban landscapes.
