Class Title: Valentine’s Floral Design: Candle Centerpieces

Class Description: Are you looking for that special touch to add to your Valentine’s evening? Join this floral design workshop to create your very own romantic centerpiece composed of a candle and flowers! Your unique floral creation will be guided by Jim Johnson, instructor from the Benz School of Floral Design. After this course, you will leave with new design skills and a Valentine’s Day centerpiece to impress a whole party or just that special someone!

Date: Tuesday, February 11, 2014

Time: 9:30am-12:00pm

Location: Naples Garden Club Room

Class Size: 20 participants

Cost: $95 Garden Members/ $105 Non-members (includes supplied materials)

Materials List: Participants should bring their own floral knife, stem cutters, wire cutters, ribbon scissors, and small trash bag.

Registration Deadline: Tuesday, February 4, 5:00pm

Instructor Bio:Jim Johnson is a published floral designer and lecturer at the Benz School of Floral Design at Texas A&M University – College Station. Mr. Johnson co-authored a number of books on floral terminology and aspects of design, including Flowers: Creative Design and The AIFD Guide to Floral Design. Mr. Johnson’s own floral designs were featured in Discovering Design by Dan Harwell. He has taught floral design classes all over the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Germany, and Holland. Mr. Johnson received the Frances Jones Poetker Award from the American Horticultural Society, and the AIFD Award for Distinguished Service to the Floral Industry.
