Dr. George Newman MD, a recently retired pathologist from New Hampshire, manifests impressive knowledge of the flora of North America. He also has especial expertise about insectivorous plants, orchids, and the alpine flora of New England.
Last year George delivered a gripping lecture to our NPS Chapter, pertaining to the orchids of northeastern North America. This years presentation will cover George's understanding of insectivorous plants based, partly, on considerable personal field experience combined with first-hand knowledge of their cultivation. George's forthcoming presentation will also include descriptions of, and personally prepared photographs of, insectivorous plants.
