Solstice Celebration at Naples Botanical Garden


Naples Botanical Garden will present a Solstice Celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 17 through Dec. 23 at the garden, 4820 Bayshore Drive. Visitors will be dazzled by 531 tiki torches that will line the garden walkways from the Visitor Center to the Solstice Landing overlooking Deep Lake. Santa Claus, in tropical attire, will greet children in the Caribbean Garden Chattel House. Free cookies and hot chocolate will be provided, and the Naples Botanical Garden Cafe will sell wine and hors d’oeuvres such as plated cheese and crackers, Hanukkah cookies and Scottish shortbread cookies. Entertainment—including a guitarist in the Brazilian Garden, a member of Flute Cocktail in the Kapnick Caribbean Garden and a Druid at the Solstice Landing –will be featured each night. T

he Garden Shop will be open for holiday shopping, with the members’ discount of 10 percent available. The Solstice Celebration is free with regular admission of $9.95 for adults, $4.95 for children ages to 4 to 14, and free for members. Naples Botanical Garden created a world-class tropical garden paradise that includes cultivated gardens of Brazil, the Caribbean, and a hands-on interactive Children's Garden along with 90 acres of beautifully restored natural habitats. The Garden opened to the public on November 14, 2009.
