Naples Botanical Garden's Grand Opening To Be Sponsored By Scotts Miracle-Gro

Naples Botanical Garden is pleased to announce that The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company is the presenting sponsor of the Garden’s Grand Opening, a weeklong celebration beginning November 9th, 2009.

“We are honored to be a part of the launch of this new garden paradise,” said Jim Hagedorn, chairman and chief executive officer, The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company. “The Garden will be a true jewel for the Naples community and beyond. We are proud to support the grand opening as a presenting sponsor.”

“The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, the global leader in garden care, is a natural fit to help us celebrate the grand opening of the Garden,” said Brian Holley, executive director of the Garden. “Over a decade in the making, the new gardens offer a unique and engaging approach to bringing people and tropical plants together and support from this company, recognized around the world for excellence, underscores the quality of our world-class project. We look forward to working with ScottsMiracle-Gro to celebrate this truly extraordinary opportunity.”

The Garden’s opening will include the Opening Celebration, an afternoon-into-evening ticketed garden party on November 10th, the Sixth Annual Hats in the Garden fundraising luncheon on November 11th, a Member Preview on November 13th and the Public Grand Opening ribbon cutting on November 14th at 11:00 am followed by a weekend full of family activities.

Naples Botanical Garden is in the process of creating a world-class tropical garden paradise that will include cultivated gardens of Brazil, the Caribbean, and a hands-on interactive Children’s Garden along with 90 acres of beautifully restored natural habitats. The Garden will open to the public in November 2009. For more information call 239-643-7275 or visit www.naplesgarden.org, where the Garden is virtually open.
