Former staff at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and current staff at Florida International University, Scott Zona will present five tropical plants that changed the course of world history: coffee, sugar, rubber, black pepper, and nutmeg. Their influence is felt even today! A sixth tropical plant may change the world in the near future, but not for the better.
