Congea tomentosa

Shower of Orchids, also known as Wooly congea is blooming in the Lea Asian Garden, on the west side of the ruins. A native of southeast Asia, wooly congea features tiny inconspicuous flowers surrounded by velvety bracts. Over the course of several weeks, the bracts will change colors through pink, lavender, and, finally, gray. Shower of Orchids is in the mint family (Lamiaceae)
