The American Public Garden Association created National Public Gardens Day to celebrate and recognize the importance of botanic gardens, arboreta and public gardens.
This year, Naples Botanical Garden will also celebrate the one-year anniversary of being named recipients of the 2017 Award for Garden Excellence, awarded by APGA! We couldn’t have done it without support from our community near and far, so we are calling on you to join the festivities.
Why Do You #DigNBG?
We will award one lucky participant a one-year Family Membership. Please take a photo, using ours as an example, and tell us why Naples Botanical Garden is special to you. Now through May 11, use the hashtag #DigNBG with your photo post on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and you will be entered to win a Family Membership (Membership benefits for two adults and member’s children/grandchildren under 18), or one-year renewal on an existing Membership. Only one entry per person, please.
The Garden’s leadership will determine their favorite photo, and the decision will be announced on the Garden’s social media channels on May 11.
Hear Garden guests explain why they #DigNBG, and Britt Patterson-Weber, Associate Director of Education, share why kids should spend more time with plants, from the Smith Children’s Garden
