DESCRIPTION:Spotlight Exhibition in Fogg Café \n\n\n\nWith a desire to capture beauty in wildness\, Naples-based artist Sara Abalan’s work is a viscerally authentic representation of her surrounding environment. Her time spent immersed in the Garden’s natural spaces is beautifully reflected in the subject\, shapes\, and colors of this spotlight exhibition in Fogg Café.  \n\n\n\nIncluded with Garden admission; free for Members. Every Garden admission ticket or membership purchase helps to support Naples Botanical Garden’s conservation efforts. This exhibition is on view February 2 – June 30\, 2024. \n\n\n\n\nBuy Tickets Now\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSara Abalan\, “Rosary Pea and Bracken Fern\,” acrylic on canvas\, 2023\n\n\nAbout the ArtistBorn in Massachusetts and destined to be an artist from a young age\, Sara Abalan took inspiration from her parents who informed her love of microscopic imagery and profound appreciation of nature. She spent 15 years as a magazine art director and illustrator and later moved to New York City\, where she studied at the New York Studio School and maintained studios in Tribeca and SoHo. Her career is now entirely dedicated to the production of fine art. DESCRIPTION:Naples Botanical Garden has partnered with Ankrolab Brewing Company\, known for its exceptional locally crafted beers. Through this partnership\, Ankrolab has added an exciting new beer to its tap list for a limited time: the Hibiscus Kiss Blonde Ale. This light-bodied ale is an absolute delight\, enriched with the unique and flavorful twist of hand-picked roselle hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa) from the Garden. The distinct floral and berry notes add a bright and refreshing taste\, making it a must-try for any beer enthusiast. \n\n\n\nHorticulturist Matt Herrman with Ankrolab Brewer Dominic Venditti\n\n\n\nStarting at 5 p.m. on April 19\, the Garden will directly receive $1 for each pint sold at Ankrolab until the selection is sold out. Four kegs of this limited-edition brew will be produced during the promotion’s estimated two-week time frame.
