Think cacti and succulents are just for arid environments? Think again. The Garden has a sizeable collection of these drought-friendly plants, beloved for their unique architecture, towering flower spikes, and spiny exteriors. Our collection includes Aloes of many types, baobab trees with their swollen, water-holding trunks, and flowering plants that add pops of color, such as varieties of desert rose (Adenium obseum). You can find these plants in the Foster Succulent Garden and near Nina’s Pavilion in the Kapnick Caribbean Garden. Learn more about this collection
