Think cacti and succulents are just for arid environments? Think again. The Garden has a sizeable collection of these drought – friendly plants, beloved for their unique architecture, towering flower spikes, and spiny exteriors. Our collection includes Aloes of many types, baobab trees with their swollen, water – holding trunks, and Mexico’s famed blue agave (Agave tequilana), from which tequila is made. You can find these plants in the Foster Succulent Garden and near Nina’s Pavilion in the Kapnick Caribbean Garden. Learn more about this collection.
