Celebrate art in the Garden! Find inspiration in nature as nearly 20 local artists work in the tradition of painting en plein air (“in the open air”). Visitors can ask questions, engage in conversation, and gain insight into a variety of artistic practices.

Art-themed family activities will provide a hands-on experience, and aspiring artists of all ages are invited to get creative and make their own piece of plein air art to take home. And, be the first to enjoy the Garden’s new interactive exhibition, Musical Swings, on its opening day.

What to expect:

• See nearly 20 professional artists working throughout the Garden.
• Participate in hands-on activities with W.O.N.D.E.R. Theme: Art Naturally.
• Join guided tours including Art in the Garden (10am, 12pm, 2pm) and Highlights & History (11am, 1pm, 3pm). Space is limited.
• Pick up a Nature Journal to get creative and learn more about upcoming adult workshops hosted by the Garden.
• Take home your own plein air painting on a mini canvas with a drop-in, instructor-led program.
• Help create a community chalk mural.
