Member Insider Tours are free, but advanced registration is required. Walk-ups will not be admitted for these tours.Tours will be held rain or shine. Tour dates will not be rescheduled.

All tours require walking; please wear appropriate clothing. Water is provided at the beginning of the tour, but Members are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle. Members are also encouraged to bring bug spray.

Conserving Biodiversity: The Garden’s Unique Role

You may have noticed red tags at the base of some of the plants. These tags indicate plants that have been assessed and identified as imperiled by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List authorities.

The Red List is a global effort to identify and protect threatened species around the globe. On this tour, learn more about some of these threatened species and the role of the Garden in protecting biodiversity inside and outside of the Garden.
