Event Description

10 am – 11 am
What’s an Enabling Garden?

Education Operations Manager, Taylor Burnham, has years of experience leading garden programs for learners of all ages and abilities in our Buehler Family Foundation Enabling Garden. In this Member Insider Tour, you will learn how to apply the principals of therapeutic horticulture design to your own garden. After all, gardening is a rewarding activity you can enjoy throughout your lifetime, no matter your age or ability. You will also try out some adaptive gardening tools designed to make gardening easier, engage all of your senses with specially selected plants, and learn how Naples Botanical Garden uses the Buehler Enabling Garden for groups with varying exceptionalities. Members are encouraged to wear attire for walking, bring a bottle of water, and bug repellent. Members-only tours are free, but advanced registration is required.

 HOW TO REGISTER

Send an e-mail to membership@naplesgarden.org specifying your desired date (one tour per member, please). Your reservation is complete when you receive an e-mail confirmation. Please note that all tours require walking. Bug spray and water are suggested. Space is limited. Members at the Individual level may register one person; Members at the Family level and above may register two people.
