Join us for a free Sensory-Friendly Saturday for guests, families, and individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other sensory processing needs.
Experience the peacefulness and fun of the Garden with disturbances minimized. An air-conditioned take-a-break space will be provided, as well as hands-on activities for the whole family! Free admission applies between 4 – 6pm* only.
*Sensory-Friendly Saturday will begin at 2pm on January 16.
Additional Needs Arts Contest Reception & Awards – January 16, 2 – 6pm
To coincide with the January 16 Sensory-Friendly Saturday, the Garden is proud to host the 2026 – 2027 Additional Needs Art Contest Reception & Awards from 2 – 6pm in partnership with Additional Needs, Inc. During the event, the winners of the “Celebration of Creation” contest will be announced. In addition to partnering with Additional Needs, Inc., the Garden is delighted to welcome the several local service organizations who will be participating in the event.
The mission of Additional Needs Inc. is to empower the additional needs community through a platform built for and maintained by its members—providing inclusive employment, vital resources, and a safe space to connect, share, and thrive while showcasing what’s possible when everyone is given the opportunity to flourish.
