Event Description
Join us for a unique Garden tour just for Members!
Tours last between 60-90 minutes, and are limited to 12 participants. To allow as many of our Members as possible to experience a tour, we limit each membership household to one tour per series.
Member Insider Tours are free, but advanced registration is required. Walk-ups will not be admitted for these tours. Tours will be held rain or shine. Tour dates will not be rescheduled.
All tours require walking; please wear appropriate clothing. Water is provided at the beginning of the tour, but Members are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle. Members are also encouraged to bring bug spray.
Orchids and Epiphytes
Look up; look down; look all around and you are bound to see orchids and epiphytes—plants that live on other plants—throughout the Garden. On this tour, learn how some of these plants have adapted to survive life without soil, find out how our Horticulture team maintains our vast collection of orchids, and discover how the Garden works to conserve native orchid and epiphyte species.
