Celebrate Haitian Flag Day

May 18 , 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Enjoy a day in the Garden with live music by Karibbean Groove, a special dance performance and instruction by Fya Vybz Studios, family-friendly activities, and cultural presentations from local organizations celebrating the meaning and heritage of Haitian Flag Day. Fogg Café will be serving a specialty drink, Passion Fruit Juice, available only at this event. Lawn chairs are permitted.

All guests enjoy free admission as we celebrate Haitian Flag Day and the many members of the Haitian community here in Collier County and throughout the state of Florida.

Signage and W.O.N.D.E.R. Activity Packs available in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole every day.

About the Performers

Karibbean Groove
Karibbean Groove is a high-energy six-piece band that has dazzled audiences in Southwest Florida for over 20 years. This exciting group stays true to the Haitian tradition of socially conscious music while exploring popular genres like reggae, jazz, and R&B. During Haitian Flag Day, visitors can expect to hear konpa, a merengue-style Haitian dance music with roots in Africa, and zouke, a fast-paced carnival beat.

Fya Vybz Studios
Fya Vybz Studios is a local Afro-Caribbean dance and fitness studio located off Exchange Avenue in East Naples. Their warm and welcoming studio offers classes that showcase the rich and diverse styles of the Caribbean like dance-hall, soca, Afrobeats, Haitian-konpa, Haitian-folklore, kizomba, and more. During Haitian Flag Day, Fya Vybz Studio will perform traditional Haitian dances and give visitors the opportunity to join in the celebration through an engaging konpa class.

Blue Star Museums

This summer, Naples Botanical Garden has joined Blue Star Museums, a National Endowment of the Arts Initiative honoring the sacrifices of our active-duty military families. From May 17, Armed Forces Day, to September 1, Labor Day, active-duty military personnel and their families may receive free admission to the Garden with qualifying identification.
